Terms of Use

Welcome to Squibly! These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of the Squibly mobile app and the squibly.app website (together, the “Service”), operated by Squibly (“we”, “our”, or “us”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy.

1. What Squibly is

Squibly is a curated video experience for kids, controlled by parents. Parents choose what their child can watch, set screen-time limits, and receive daily digests and conversation starters based on what their child watched.

2. Who can use Squibly

You must be at least 18 years old and the parent or legal guardian of any child you add to Squibly. You agree to provide accurate account information and to keep your sign-in credentials (and your Nest PIN) secure. You are responsible for activity that happens under your account.

3. Child profiles and parental consent

Child profiles exist under your parent account and are controlled by you. Before we collect or use information connected to your child’s profile, we ask for your consent in the app, as described in our Privacy Policy. You can withdraw consent and delete your child’s profile at any time. Squibly is a tool to help you manage your child’s viewing — it does not replace your supervision.

4. Subscriptions, trials, and billing

5. Content

Videos available in Squibly are sourced from third-party platforms (such as YouTube) and curated for age-appropriateness. We do not own that content, and a video’s availability can change without notice. Third-party content remains subject to its own terms. While we work hard to keep the catalog kid-friendly, we cannot guarantee every video is suitable for every child — parental controls and your judgment remain part of the experience.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

7. Intellectual property

The Squibly app, website, name, logo, characters, and original content are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by intellectual-property laws. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the app for your family’s personal, non-commercial use.

8. Termination and account deletion

You can stop using Squibly at any time and delete your account in the app under Settings → Account & Security → Delete account. Deletion permanently removes your account, child profiles, and activity data as described in our Privacy Policy. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or put the Service or its users at risk.

9. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any particular video will remain available.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Squibly will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits or data, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you in the app or by email before they take effect. Continuing to use the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Nothing in this section deprives you of consumer protections you are entitled to under the laws of the place where you live.
